I’m so excited to be offering Wildflower Minis Session for Spring 2024! While we can make predictions based on past years’ observations, the truth is, nature often has its own plans. Each year brings its own unique blend of weather patterns, soil conditions, and other factors that influence which flowers will thrive.
Here’s a glimpse into the predicted wildflower mix in Benbrook for the upcoming season based on last years sessions:
March 30: If you’re aiming for a classic Texas vibe with a pop of yellow, this might be your date. Bitterweed blooms alongside scattered bluebonnets, offering a charming early spring setting.
April 6 & 7: Bluebonnets steal the show during this period, creating a picturesque scene that’s quintessentially Texan. Pair them with the cheerful yellow of Bitterweed and hints of purple Prairie Verbena for truly magic photos.
April 13 & 14: As we progress into mid-April, Prairie Verbena starts to make its mark, adding a touch of purple to the landscape. Combined with lingering bluebonnets and Bitterweed, these dates offer a diverse palette for your mini session.
April 27: For a softer, more whimsical feel, consider scheduling your sessions towards the end of April. Delicate Buttercups in shades of pink and white steal the show, accompanied by the occasional Prairie Verbena and stray bluebonnets, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
So, on the day of our wildflower expedition, we’ll set out with open hearts and open minds, ready to witness whatever masterpiece nature has in store for us. Whether it’s a sea of bluebonnets stretching towards the horizon or a hidden patch of Prairie Verbena tucked away in a quiet corner, each bloom tells a story of its own, waiting to be discovered and appreciated!
